My purpose is to share my life journey and to inspire you through my experiences, discoveries and insights. My hope is that the contents of this blog will be relevant in your personal and even professional lives.
I am Earlie Pasion, the Publishing Coordinator of Discipleship Resources-Philippines. This is my personal blog.
Before my current job, I worked with a company that publishes supplementary magazines for grade school and high school. I wrote for social studies and values magazines for almost three years then left to become a fulltime youth leader in our church.
Part of the work of being a young leader is leading and organizing events. Since then, I have been regularly speaking at youth and some adult events (i.e. leadership trainings, writers’ workshops and spiritual retreats). I served the National United Methodist Youth Fellowship in Philippines as Education Department Head (2006-2008) and President (2008-2010); and the Division on Ministries with Young People as Co-Chair (2009-2012).
I co-authored a campus ministry handbook with Mighty Rasing in 2008, and released another book in 2010, Jollyboats: Journeying through College. I am currently planning of writing another youth-oriented book this 2012.
I was born and raised in the province of Isabela, Philippines and I am proud of my being an Ilocano. I love country living but I have a fair share of city life having stayed in Metro Manila for nine years while studying college then working.
I am recently and happily married to Jonathan Bautista, a farmer and auto-mechanic. We live in Cauayan City, Isabela.
Though many people refer to me as “Mr.”, I am a fair lady who wears jeans, shorts, t-shirts, and snickers. But I can do semi-formal to formal dresses sometimes.
I have been blogging since March 2005 but have transferred from one host to another until I finally decided to stick with this. I have written numerous entries, most I already trashed; some I kept and reposted in this site.
